Our story

Akhawaat Events was born from our own journey.

While planning our wedding, we quickly realised how difficult it can be to balance family expectations, cultural traditions, and the teachings of Islam. We found ourselves constantly asking:

"Are we doing this because Allah and His Messenger ﷺ taught us to, or because it's simply what's expected?"

"At the end of the day, people will always have opinions, but as Muslims, we strive to follow the guidance of Allah and the example of His Messenger ﷺ ."

Like many Muslim couples, we faced challenges when it came to issues such as mixed gatherings and other wedding traditions that did not always align with our understanding of Islam. We wanted a wedding that would please Allah first, while still being beautiful, respectful, and meaningful for our families.

That journey inspired the creation of Akhawaat Events

  • Akhawaat Events was created by sisters, inspired by our own experience planning a Muslim wedding and wanting something that felt truly right for us.

    We understand that planning a wedding is about more than a venue and a supplier list. It's about bringing two families together, balancing expectations, and creating a day that reflects who you are and what you value. As sisters, we wanted to build a space where Muslim couples feel understood, supported, and confident in every choice they make.

    When you place your day in our hands, you are placing your trust in us and we don't take that lightly. We see it as our duty to honour that trust through every detail, from the first conversation to the final moment of your celebration.
